So here's what happened. I have a laptop that I had Windows 8.1 on, and downgraded to Windows 7. After install, USB drivers did not work. So I'm trying to reinstall it, but the USB stops working after it goes into "Windows." It tells me to "Load Driver" which I'm not sure what driver it's asking for, the DVD one? I'm supposing it's trying to load the drivers that aren't there. I have no idea what to do.

There are big chnages in terms of operating system, when windows 8.1 installed then downgraded into windows 7, the matters reaaly affects system driver becaise win7 is an earlier version of wi dows that is why pc looking for the drivers, try downnloading driver from manufacturer website you can use the right drivers there. In my case, previously i use win7 then turn to win8.1 then upgrade to win10, which much faster than win8.... and most of shorcuts were done to be user frienxly buttons. The problems for win8 and 10 are cannot join domain, however, in my case i can join into server domain manual config. There is no harm of trying, remember every time you instlall new system (OS) make sure relevant drivers are there. Look for the years of devdlopment of OS, that might bit matters for most users. Hope his wpuld be helpful.

Well, that would work, if I could use the USB ports anyways to do anything. Of course, the touchpad works, but the USB ports do not. When windows is loaded, it looks for drivers. When I try to start windows normally, it tells me BOOT is missing.
