Hey boys, I'm looking to see if I can install a new graphics card on my rather old computer.

As of now, I can only play old games (and I mean OLD) and even those, low quality unless I wanna lag! This is because I have an integrated graphics card.

So anyway, I was looking forward to getting a new graphics card, until I realized it's not as easy. I made my mind and I'm going for a GeForce GT 210. I don't want an expensive graphics card, this thing is cheap, has half a GB of VRAM, and shader model 3.0. My current integrated graphics card only has shader 2.0 which simply does not allow me to do ANY gaming whatsoever.

I want to be able to run games that aren't too complex, I don't know if I'll be able to run ArmA 2 or DayZ, but thing is I just wanna run games at 30-40 fps if possible on low settings, not looking for high settings and I don't know if it will work out. Also, I have a 0GM819 Dell Motherboard, will I be able to install this graphics card on this mother board? If not, could anyone suggest any cheap, and sufficient to run games on low settings graphics card that can go on this motherboard?

By this, to clarify, I'm looking to play games that don't require overkill specs, I just wanna do typical gaming lagfree, no need for full HD 1080p graphics, only for personal gaming use. Hope this makes it more clear.

Also, last thing to this huge post, I'm not looking to BUILD a PC, as it would go too expensive for me and well, let's just say I can't get the hardware in the country I'm situated. Thanks in advance!

The GT 210 won't run DayZ and Arma 2 and games like that for sure. But if you just want a cheap one it's alright. But you will be able to install the graphics card into your motherboard since it has a PCI Express x16 slot.

What is your CPU? I tried to retire an old computer to movie-watching duty by installing a Radon HD 6670 but the CPU is pegged at 100% on 720P movies and starts stuttering (old Pentium 4).

Make sure your CPU is capable of running those games before shelling out money for a new GPU. Also "high end" CPU's for that socket have come down in price should you want to upgrade.

Hello.
Sorry for the very late reply, just checked back here after a long while. My processor is a Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz. Running Windows XP, saddly, simply looking for a graphics card that can run some if not most games that DO NOT require Windows Vista and up, as I'm not looking to upgrade currently. Thanks in advance.
