Was curious... GT 610 VS Intel HD Graphics 2000. Who wins?

I couldn't find the gt 610 on the hierarchy chart, so it's a mere curiousity, and google results are a mix

It would be really close but the 610 does not use up system ram so would be a good choice just for that.

Eh, the Nvidia GT 610 beats the Intel HD Graphics 3000 by a significant margin, so it's safe to say that the same card would easily outperform the 2000 series.

Neither, they are both too slow to be usable for anything but desktop usage. But in that case I guess the Intel would win because it's cheaper since it's included with a machine.

The gt 610 gives about double the performance(on paper). Look at this:

Too slow to be usable, rofl. They're "slow" by your standards, but to me my Intel hd 2000 has been and still is able to run modern games at 20-30 fps. at low resolutions

Although retired from my younger days as professional gamer, I could easily tell you that my favorite graphics card of all time still belongs to the ATI Radeon X1600. In fact, that GPU was still smoking the Intel HD 2000 when I was studying linguistics abroad in 2011. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that older technology isn't always inferior to new technology.
