When I first got my laptop it was working fine, it connected to the internet and all was good, but i bought it second hand so there was a lot of crap on it. I formatted it and clean installed windows 10. Now I can't seem to connect to my home wifi only. It works with ethernet and outside of my home I have had no troubles connecting to any wifi. I tried ipconfig /release but it tells me media disconnected. I checked to see if all the drivers are up-to-date and they are. Also, it seems to connect to the wifi when I connect it via ethernet then disable/enable the wifi driver then restart my router, but when I put my laptop on sleep it goes back to not connecting. I am not home often since I study in a different city but all my work is on my laptop and I have a break now. My laptop is the Lenovo Y50.

I'm not sure what your issue is, but I had a similar problem with a toshiba laptop after upgrading to windows 10. The toshiba had a function key for switching the WiFi on/off. The driver for recognizing that command did not upgrade and the WiFi card was stuck in the off position. I had the correct drivers but it wouldn't work.
I would check to see if you might have a switch or function key that is malfunctioning and shutting off your WiFi. I eventually solved my problem by taping over a pin on my WiFi card to disable it powering off.
