Hellu,

I just bought a new PC, without hard drives, so I moved my old ones over (still had to format).
I then accidentally installed windows on the big dumb hard drive, instead of the small fast one. and I want to change that, now what I want to know is; could I simply disconnect the big one, and install a fresh copy of windows on the small one, then plug the big one in and format it?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can do that. Technically that's no different than installing on a new drive following drive failure, and that's certainly allowed.

But in your case, be sure to remove existing Windows from the larger HDD (eg reformat it) immediately after the second installation is complete. (Two concurrent installations with one licence & key is not allowed under Microsoft's licence agreement).
