Well I have tried enabling Hyper-V in windows 8.
But an option in Hyper-V shows an error message as
Hyper-V cannot be Installed: Virtualization support is disabled in the firmware...
There are 2 options in Hyper-V
1. Hyper-V Management Tools
2. Hyper-V Platform
No problem with first option, but the second option show error...
I want to know how to enable the hardware virtualization, i need it for using virtual box on windows.
Virtual Box on Windows after loading a linux OS and boot it, while booting it shows error
This kernel requiers an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.
My CPU is 64-bit and OS is also 64-bit (Processor Intel i5-3rd Generation)
Even after writing systeminfo.exe in cmd the last four lines says
VM Monitor Mode Extensions: Yes
Virtualization Enabled In Firmware: No
Second Level Address Translation: Yes
Data Execution Prevention Available: Yes
