Are cpuboss site and passmark (as benchmark) tool worth looking at? I take a few looks around ot and it seems that athlon x4 860k is 25% behind i5 4460 in single thread performance and 15% in all cores work. Oc x4 860k to 4.4ghz (with evo 212) would need to close the gap to even less performance is that realy acurate? Or are they biased toward amd?

They are not biased however their tests are not based upon real life useage. For example on paper the FX-8350 should be very dominant, except there are very few applications that work across all 8 cores, and so its real life performance in games doesn't measure up.

They are decent reference points but this place is a better guide in terms of real life use of a CPU.

Passmark is VERY useful if you know how to read the data.

Consider the number of cores, single thread performance, take into account the outlier benchmarks caused by improper testing.
Use the software to see all the individual CPU results. Not just the average or even the last 5 results.

CPUBoss is very good for comparison of similar branded CPUs. Sometimes they have more info than ARK itself.
