I have an i7 4790k with a Hyper TX3 Evo (Will be upgrading soon I know it's not that good) on an Msi Z97 Gaming 5. As of now I have not overclocked and the voltage is set to auto and says 1.104 in the BIOS, is this the voltage it is running at while in BIOS as when stress testing with turbo boost it reaches 1.288 (I have not changed any CPU BIOS settings) how can I lower this and what do you think would be a good voltage if I set all the cores to 4.4ghz so it runs at that on all cores not just one/two with turbo. Thanks alot, Matt

The only way to get a higher or same overclock at a lower voltage setting would be to set one manually, and provided you have the cooling capable of keeping a processor cool. Honestly, that voltage is okay, I run my i5-3570k @ 4.5GHz 1.27v, but I am using a Corsair H90 140mm Closed-loop Liquid Cooling system

I haven't changed anything to get this voltage, if I leave the clock speeds at stock should I lower it to around 1.2 ish

I think that the Turbo Boost doesn't test to find the lowest working voltage to get 4.4GHz on 1 core, just puts in a high enough voltage to guarantee 4.4GHz on 1 core. So inputting a voltage manually will likely give better results, just takes time to experiment.
BTW, I never do a Stress test, I just play my games for 6 or 8 hours at a stretch, while monitoring cpu temp. If it runs good, temps ok, I can tweak freq/voltage up and repeat gaming test
