So I bought a third party xbox 360 controller receiver.

I got the drivers from Microsoft at: https://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows
I plugged the receiver into a usb 2.0 port (just as in instructions) and it didn't show up under unknown devices like in many YouTube tutorials. It showed up under usb devices as an unknown
device. So I preceded trying to install the drivers by going to update the drivers and browse my computer. However when I did that there wasn't a list with different hardware there was two lists with manufacturers and drivers. From there I scrolled down to Microsoft and the driver was no where to be found.
Please help.
