The board is so old, the Asrock website only offers XP-64 bit motherboard drivers as their latest. (1) Will they work for Win7x64? (2) Do you suppose Win 7 Update will find the best drivers for the board?

They will work.

Your best bet, for items of primary concern, is to go directly to the manufacturer of the chip.

For example, i would not use Asrocks dated Realtek or Broadcom drivers. Insteaad get them direct from the chip mfr.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for driver wise?
Windows should do a decent job, then check the device manager to see if anything was missed.

Hi. Yeah, good idea. I will do that. Mainly I was concerned about the chipset driver. The Asrock download page calls it "NVIDIA all in 1 driver". I presume that is the chipset driver, iGPU, etc.

But you're pretty confident the XP-64 bit drivers will be usable with Win7x64?

I'm more confident that you won't need them.
I work on dated hardware a fair amount, and it has never been an issue.
Good money is on windows recognizing the vast majority of the hardware (most notably the chipset).
For some reason Ethernet drivers are a pain to recognize, but again my guess is the bulk will be recognized. Anything that isn't recognized will come up with a bit of google searching.
