I reformatted my entire hard drive for Kali linux, a 750GB hard disk, and when I partitioned my drive everything looked correct, and it had the correct numbers to partition. Once I actually entered the OS after it was installed it says I only have 8GB of total drive space. Anybody have any idea how to fix this? I tried expanding the partition manually etc, but the computer seems incapable of detecting the rest of the hard drive. I have used debian and other linux OS's before without anything that resembled this problem.

You probably didn't partition something correctly.

Check 'parted -l' and 'df' sorry can't offer more help without details (you have given no details)!

And BTW since you are using Kali it is automatically assumed that you are already an advanced linux user so you shouldn't be asking such basic questions!
