I don't know, at this point, if it is because I need another computer, or someone is using my information to keep me "in need" of information.
Regardless of what...
I can't get my video card to work. All of a sudden, my computer is not working on the basic functions.
First..
It was my voice and audio. NOW? It's my video card.
DUDE.
I'm done.
Can someone help me, with this aggravating, washed up, refurbished, piece of S***?!
I have an Optiplex 780.

Hi

What you mean exactly

My graphics car does not work

Do you have discrete video card or embedded?

This is example of only embedded video

Is your monitor connected to BLUE connector or to something else?

Have you tried System Restore? Something is wrong with drivers, little programs, which are responsible for hardware function.

How will I be able to tell if it's embedded?
I don't see a graphics card that is in the back of the computer, so I think it might be discrete? Meaning it is inside? I don't know.. to be honest.
As far as the blue connector, my monitor is connected to the blue, not the green one above it.

I really didn't want to run a system restore. I finally got the voice card to work again by running a restore from before I downloaded this update for another program in the system.
When I deleted the program, because it made my computer run EVEN slower than before? My sound stopped working!
Found a way to make it work again, then this happens?
I'm so DONE with Dell!!!!!!!

No offense, but that is some old school stuff you got there. Get a new PC, for Christ sake don't buy a prebuild one, configure it yourself. If you need more help just ask, there are lots of people which can help you out here.

Go to the start and search dxdiag.exe, find the exact name and model of the processor and post it here, its most likely the outdated driver or deleted.

Or just download this and use the instructions and it will update the intel chipset and other stuff by itself.
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

And this will brick Dell for sure. Dell drivers, except for discrete parts, MUST come from Dell support site only.

If your monitor connected to BLUE port, your PC has only embedded video chip - original configuration.

Now tell us please what you mean by graphic card not working.

You have 2 options to find correct driver, first you have to provide us with all information requested or you can do it yourself using this link Automatically detect driver updates for your system.
There click on Detect Drivers, it will install small harmless utility, which will check all your system - you need to reinstall video driver, get all selected and follow instructions.
If not sure, please post here, which ones Dell found on your system.

I have seen it the same way, and wanted to mention this as well, but could not find correct polite words for it.

To riki652: I would advise you to erase your post, as my fingers are itching to report you to MODs.

This profile needs to be deleted..
I did't ask for anyone who is NOT an adult to do ANYTHING FOR ME!
I asked a question, and a GEEK answered me rudely! I don't need to take flack from some pimple faced dweeb!

Send me the link for my password reset, please?

I'm much better now. I read what you posted, and I was referring to this account. My password for this account is not valid, I tried clicking on "forgot password" and still nothing in my inbox.

Okay, the whole thing was that I was trying to download Second Life, and it told me that the graphics card was not working.. whatever that was about..
I'm running what you suggested Kisi. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
Let's hope this works! If not? I'll just wait till I have saved up enough for a BOSS computer from G-Force or something.

If you mean Tomshardware, there is problem occurring now with the site, just hit refresh in your browser, should go away.
