Looking for a cheap but good wireless router for gaming.

Hey!

I'm looking for a pretty cheap wireless router for gaming which will also let me port forward easily.
Got any ideas?

Rule number 1 for gaming is never use wireless. The router is only a small part of the issues with wireless. Most involve how your house is built and other wireless devices you or your neighbors have that will interfere. You have no way to control most these variables so you end up with random problems with the signal which cause little issue for web surfing but cause massive issues for games.

I don't know any router that does not allow port forwarding. You will find little difference in the performance of routers when it comes to gaming since the bandwidth required for a game is very low. As long as you buy from the more well known routers you will not see much difference in the coverage either.

Pretty much pick the amount of money you want to spend and decide what you like. Unless you are very lucky and live far away from other people they will all likely cause you random issues with game play.
