Whenever i turn my pc there is no display on screen (fans are working and i can hear hard drive starting to spin). In some cases one restart is enough but now i must restart maybe 10 times to work.
Bad mobo or psu? I am really nervous please help guys.
Thank you

Bad caps (on the motherboard, psu or gfx card) normally present themselves with the exact symptoms he has, working after multiple restarts after they have had a chance to warm up. The problem will only get worse. It's really easy to check and rule it out if it's not. Open the case and have a look..... The psu caps are harder to check, and care should be taken if the psu is to be opened as electrical shock can result even with power disconnected if you dont know what your doing.

One or more of the components in your PC could be going wrong. It's not easy to find out what part(s) are dying or breaking inside the PC. However, it's clear that you will need to back up all your data as soon as possible to another PC. After backup is completed, you may try to figure out what's wrong with the PC.

When does it restart randomly on its own? Or are you going into a specifically intensive application ex games. Try running http://www.ocbase.com/ occt test. It'll stress test the psu for you and if the monitor goes black but the parts are all still on it's the psu.

Hi
It might be a capacitor problem but usually capacitor problems can cause restarts or blue screen.
Do you have these problems??
If the computer is working fine when its turned on and you can use it as long as you want , it might be a bios problem.

That's a pretty old system... Did you recently overclock? That could bring instability. Also, as suggested above check if is there are any visible hardware failures on the motherboard (defective caps), PSU or gpu. It could also be a BIOS problem. Try to bring the CPU back at stock clocks to see if that solves the issue.

I know its a very old system but its fast for me. Playing League of Legends (High-60fps), CODMW3 (High-60fps),
MW2(Ultra-60fps) on 1280x1024. And i recently OC the Sempron to 3.6GHz and its stable.
