Hello,

I'm attempting to a fresh Windows 10 install using System Repair DVD in my Dell Inspiron 3521 Laptop. I have removed my hard drive and replaced it with a new Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD .

I get the following error when attempting to Reset the PC:
"Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing."

I have named the new drive and I believe I've partitioned it. Could you please advise on steps to fix this issue?

Many thanks!!!

It's the System Repair for Windows 10 64 Bit that they prompt you to make after making the system image disks. I attempted to use the System Image disks and encountered another error.

I just took your suggestion to clone the old drive to the SSD. The Samsung Data migration software didn't find my new SSD so I used Macrium Reflect free version.

I only cloned the C partition. Do I need to clone the DIAGS, WINRETOOLS, PBR Image and other un named partitions?

It worked!!! Thank you drtweak. I used EaseUS Todo Backup Free 8.6 and it cloned my drive in 20 mins. Macrium was unable to shrink existing HDD to SSD size and EaseUS Todo Backup Free 8.6 was able to do so.

I can't believe it worked!

Thanks again drtweak.
