Hi everyone,

I am currently in the process of upgrading the amount of RAM in my pc. I currently have a core 2 quad Q8300 2.5GHz processor with a 0G254H motherboard with my XPS 430 desktop.

I have just tried changing my RAM from 4 1GB chips up to 2 4GB Intel XMS chips at 1333MHz. Upon doing this the computer boots and all sounds normal but no display is visible. If I try turning the PC off then on again it will run for 3 seconds, cut out and then reboot and once again sound normal but with no display.

I have tried placing the chips in slots 1 and 2, slots 1 and 3 and in 2 and 4 but with no success. The manual states that they should occupy slots 1 and 2 but no luck.

The manual says that this setup should be acceptable (see link below) and the following thread also seems to say this should be suitable for my motherboard.

If anyone has any idea on this issue please let me know.

Thanks once again.
