MOBO: Gigabyte Ga-78LMT USB3
PSU: EVGA 500b
CPU: AMd FX 6300
GPU: GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Just got a new stick of RAM for my PC, it already had 4Gb and I wanted to bump to 8Gb
I got this
hynix 4gb 2rx4 pc3-10600r-9-10-e1 4GB RAM Kit and put it in as usual
Very loud beeping happened, really long beep followed by another and it wouldn't display to my monitor yet all the parts were working. and this happened with the beeps until I powered off the machine. I tried to redo it and was sure it was in right but it kept beeping. I took it out and the PC booted up as normal. Is there something I'm Missing? Its DDR3 RAM and I put it in the same color slot as my original RAM stick? Could they be incompatible or the Motherboard be an issue? I don't knowq much about these things but basics. Thanks!

When it freaks out and beeps like that its often from a bad memory stick, which is possible. However its also possible that the new memory is incompatible with the old memory because its significantly different.

First thing I would do is pull out your old memory and try to start the PC with just the new memory (in the 1 DIMM slot). If that doesn't work you have your answer. If it does work then your problem is its incompatible with the memory you have. You have 2 options then, 1 is to return it and buy an 8gb kit (which has 2 4gb matched memory dimms), or pull your original memory and match the exact model number and buy the same thing.

The second option is not guaranteed but most likely will work.

Return the RAM and buy a DDR3-1600 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB), and move on.

The "r" next to the 10600 means it's server RAM. It will not work in a PC. It is ECC or error checking RAM I think which is incompatible with home PCs.
