Dear Members,

I would like to buy a 4K display to work (I am not a web designer and not graphic) and watching movies.
I do NOT HAVE VGA, and I do not have enough money to buy vga and new display as well.

Am I going to use a 4K monitor (on 60 Hz) without VGA - only with my i7 4770, HD4600 (that support Max Resolution DisplayPort*/HDMI- 3840x2160@ 60Hz, 4096x2304@24Hz, VGA and Z87 Extreme4 with the following specs:

- Four graphics output options: D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort
- Supports Triple Monitor
- Supports HDMI Technology with max. resolution up to 4K x 2K (4096x2304) @ 24Hz
- Supports DVI-D with max. resolution up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz
- Supports D-Sub with max. resolution up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz
- Supports DisplayPort with max. resolution up to 4K x 2K (4096x2304) @ 24Hz

Thanks

TV doesn't matter if it's 4K. It will still look good if it's big enough. If you're wanting it for the screen real estate mostly, then I'd say a 32" or larger 4k unit would be fine. Even a 1440p 28" or 32" would be great. You might want to consider an Ultra-Wide unit like this:

Or something similar in an Ultra wide that gives you plenty of screen real estate plus you can watch full HD movies while still having room to work on the side. If you require full screen border to border movie watching, then it might not be so great but I think for the work aspect it's a great option.
So basically, the 4K is just for movies? What SIZE of display are you thinking you want to go with? The fact is there is not much 4k content out there right now, and will only be limited Blu-ray 4k content come the 2015 holidays which is when it's supposed to begin hitting markets as far as hardware goes. That doesn't mean films will begin using definition this high though, and probably won't for some time. 4k is great, don't get me wrong, especially if you plan to use a very large screen.

For monitors and such, unless you're gaming, I'd suggest sticking with a 1440p unit for now. If you're buying for the future, then it's not a bad option but don't expect to see dramatically different results with media that doesn't end up being in 4k anyhow.

Mostly for work, this is the 1st priority, than I watch movies if I am exhausted. :)

Now I use a 24" Full HD and 28" Full HD displays, but I am running out the "free space". So, think I would change them only one 4k display.

I am thinking about these:

Philips 288P6LJEB - Cheap enough
Philips BDM4065UC/00 - Expensive
LG 40UF671V UHD LED - It looks good, but it is a TV.
