Hi, I have a cabled connection from my router to my PC. And for these 2 days, it's been very unstable, a minute the internet is up and I can get 200MBPS on speedtest, another minute it doesn't even load a site. I have no idea why this is happening. The other devices using my WiFi doesn't have any trouble with this unstability.

Can anyone provide any solutions to this?

I've tried many DNS solutions as well because sometimes chrome has this error "dns probe finished no internet"
.

Solution
Good to hear that your internet is back to normal.

Try to keep a sense of awareness up so if the problem re-occurs you might be able to note some additional clue.

Unknown,

Bad cable or connector perhaps.....?

Try replacing the ethernet cable between the router and your PC with a known working ethernet cable.

Then try a different LAN port on the router.

However, if you are using ethernet wall outlets then you will need to check wiring inside the outlets to make sure the connections/punchdowns are all secure.

Overall just double check all of the physical wiring that you can and if nothing is found please post accordingly.

Hmm I don't think it's the problem with the cables, I connected a laptop with another cable since my PC is far away from the router. The laptop will still experience an unstable connection, being able to load a website fast then after that it loads so slow that I have to just close that tab. and try to reload it again and again testing if it's like my PC.
So it seems it might be either the router or the telco? But there isn't any problem with the wifi though.

Okay.

I understand that both a PC and a laptop had wired connectivity problems. Is that correct?

What router are you using? Do you have admin rights to the router?

I would suggest taking a look at any available event logs on the router.

Also just go ahead and call your ISP. See if they can run their diagnostics and discover anything.

Hopefully you will be able to narrow down the cause with a bit more information. Please post accordingly.

I just restored the router to factory settings and re-configured it. My internet was back to normal.
But I don't know what was causing the problem.

I really appreciate your answers though!
