Depends if they're on Windows 10, I hate not having control of the updates on my laptop :(

I have turned automatic driver updates off though and it's not a bad idea to do the same OP, at least until we know your PC is running stable. Here's a guide:

Do a fresh install of W10 and see how it runs *without* installing any drivers

Once you know if it's OK, reboot it a few times and let it do the W10 updates.

If still OK add drivers for mobo etc. one at a time and rebooting after each item is installed.

Did you check temps?

I'm assuming it's a single stick of RAM. Make sure it's in the correct slot (see motherboard manual)

You can test it using memtest http://www.memtest86.com/ if you suspect that it's faulty

Doesn't sound faulty though, sounds more like a corrupt Windows install or driver issue to me

It *could* be an issue. Sometimes drivers can be funny things and it's certainly best to install them in the way I described. Refer to your motherboard's manual for the correct slot to install your RAM.

I'm at work and don't have the time to look up your manual right now. It will have come with your board so shouldn't be too much trouble for you to find this information yourself, let me know if you can't find it and I'll look this evening when I get home!

Ok i reinstalled windows again and there seems to be no lag but my cpu cooler is always at full speed do you think its cooler's issue? If it is any low profile cpu cooler that would fit a bitfenix comrade?

If more than one update could you make a manual check and install one by one.

How are the temperatures from the cpu when gaming? Ask this because of the fps drops and the mentioning of the cpu fan going at full for a while, plywrlw already mentioned to check that the cooler is attached properly.
