Intel i7 5500u paired with nvidia gt 840m vs intel core i7 4700mq paired with nvidia gt 740m

As far as I know from what I've read elsewhere. It really depends on the use. If you mainly intend for gaming and dont intend to use use for graphics designing and video editing then the 840m and 5500u is the better option. Im currently looking to purchase a laptop with same specs. That being said the 740m is still good enough for majority of games. So it depends on your preference.
