I just built a new gaming desktop with a gtx 960. I grabbed the only hdmi cable I had, plugged it in, and everything seemed to be just fine. Games ran like a charm, and overall I was very pleased with the build. A couple of hours later I decided to turn off the monitor while the pc was still running. When I turned the monitor back on, there was a massive blue line down the middle of the screen. I thought that the gpu had died, but when I connected my alienware laptop, I ran into the same problem. The same blue line. So if the hdmi cable is faulty, did it damage my gtx 960 in any way? I'm pretty worried because its a while before I can get another hdmi cable, I keep on thinking that the gtx 960 wont perform as good anymore.
