Hi... I am looking to build a new PC in the near future... I want to go with the MSI 970 Mobo. It is restricted to PCI-E 2.0

I would like a Video Card with 4GB of Vid RAM and if not impossible GDDR5. This might be asking too much but if the Mobo is the limitation on this then is there another AM3+ Mobo w/ PCI-E 3.0 that I can use? I have looked and could not find the right combinations of parts.

I am only running 3 games on my current PC, 1. DBZ Xenoverse, 2. Diablo 3, 3. Marvel Heroes
I want to be able to run these games on high settings to get the fullest out of them on my new PC.

Any and all help would be great. Thanks

I would really recommend going for an intel based build if you can be convinced.

Removed the AMD cpu and board, and the GT 730 (the GT 730 sucks) and replaced with better parts, Excluding the change of video card the price is exactly the same.

They dont even make the Phenom II any more man...

Is there any reason you need 16gb of ram? The gt730, although having 4gb of vram is total crap, higher end 2gb cards are much better.

I know the Phenom II is out dated but it can perform just as well as the new FX series and I'm not an Intel person. I'm not bashing Intel just like AMD better. As far as the Vid card goes as long as I can run my games in full 1080p then I'll go with anything.

Yeah but you will struggle to actually buy it from somewhere? And the FX stuff is outdated too, honestly im not an "intel Fan" ive had CPUs from both over the years, you are better off with an I5.

Dont buy a graphics card just based on its vram.

This is it.... I think I have made up my mind. It's in my budget and as long as the vid card fits in this case I'm golden.
