I have a Gateway notebook NV77H and need to enable the VT-x virtual technology but cannot find any advanced options in the BIOS. What can I do? Is there some kind of utility program that can be used to enable this BIOS option if the BIOS does not have any option to enable the VT-x virtual technology option?

Solution
I updated the BIOS from v1.10 to v1.21 from the Gateway support site. While I still cannot find and option in the BIOS to enable the VT-x virtual technology option, it must be enabled now in the upgraded BIOS because I don't get any error from AMIDuOS complaining that I need to enable it now. Solved.

This is directly from Intel's website:
Intel said:
A processor with Intel® VT does not guarantee that virtualization works on your system. Intel® VT requires a computer system with a chipset, BIOS, enabling software and/or operating system, device drivers, and applications designed for this feature.

I would suggest going to Gateway's driver downloads site for your notebook and looking if there is a driver for VT-x, you can check if there is a Bios update as well, as well as any software for it.

If there are none of those it is possible that maybe Gateway has disabled this feature for your specific notebook, even if the hardware inside supports it.
