I do not plan on overclocking, and I plan on playing games like Arma, Dayz, battlefield, CSGO. Are heatsinks necessary for me?

Thanks!

No.
These days , most of the rams come with heat sinks but IF a RAM doesn't have a heat sink when it comes out of the box , so you don't need to be worry for it
So play games with out even thinking to the temp of your RAM.

Have a nice day

Short Answer: No
Long Answer: Only if you're doing heavy overclocking, and even then, you'd probably have OTHER components overheating, long before the RAM ever approached unsafe levels. That and as stated, RAM with big heat-syncs can get in the way of a good, cheap air-cooler, if you decide to OC a little, down the road.
