Building a PC through NCIX

I'm looking to build a new gaming PC through NCIX, but I'm not sure what to go for. I already bought a GeForce GTX 970 about a month ago that I planned on putting in the new pc, so I was just looking for advice on the other parts.
I was hoping to keep it within the 1000-2000 price range but if I can get something that is high tier for less that would obviously be cool as well.
I would like to be able to run games high/ultra high settings with no slow down. I plan on using my current pc to stream what I'm playing on the new gaming pc, if that makes any difference. I was thinking something with an intel i7 processor would be my best bet, am I correct in that assumption?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For gaming there is almost no improvement between the i7's and the i5's. Only get the i7 if you have other CPU heavy activities that you want to do with it. Otherwise get an unlocked i5 k processor and overclock it.

Sorry for the long post.

Please don't get the Corsair CX series Power Supply, they are one step up from dangerous junk. I recommend the Seasonic of XFX brand of power supplies. They cost more but WILL last longer and when and if they do die, they won't destroy other parts of your computer in the process.

Also the motherboard is incompatible. I highly recommend that once you settle on a build you post a new post so that we can help make sure your parts are compatible. Use a website like www.pcpartpicker.com will also help ensure you pick compatible parts.
