My dell inspiron has a i3-2120, i put in a 750ti and a 500w power supply when i bought a new hdd, seagate barracuda 1tb. My main question is what can i upgrade in my pc without rebuilding the whole thing, i dont think a new processor is a option yet because i think they soldered in my i3 so i can't change it. Could i get a better graphics card? such as a 970 or something higher tier? would that bottleneck hard? games like h1z1 to get more frames? i dont know what to do

good question, your upgrade option will be very limited, mainly only ram gpu and hard drives, the cpu will act as a bottleneck for cpu intensive games like wow battlefield 4 and most AAA titles, other games it will be a nice upgrade, all depends on the game and settings you run, but yea it definitely will act as a bottle neck as time goes on and games become more demanding, its up to you if you think the boost in frame rates is worth the money,

I think you should get a new motherboard and CPU before upgrading your GPU. The 750ti is a few tiers above the i3-2120, so to balance your system out, a new CPU should be the way to go.

Typically only laptops have them soldered in, and your CPU is Socket LGA 1155, same as mine and very replaceable. If you do want to change it though you have to be careful, even if the socket is right certain CPU's still won't work, as it's a Dell motherboard.

what would work? right now im only buying ram though

That is a possibility, as Corsair is almost always compatible with Dells, and I have Vengeance myself, however, recently a lot of manufacturers started to use HIGH DENSITY modules and Dell supports only LOW DENSITY, so to find out all hidden specs is a huge headache now, not like before.

So, your choice would most likely work, but it may not. Crucial is the only one, which is actually testing on actual Dell PCs and always recommended even on Dell Community Forum, and I did not see complains.

So crucial will 100% work? can you find me a newegg link?

Why newegg? Crucial direct ships for free and provides better warranty terms, I think return policy, if doesn't work, is 45 days, plus Crucial has very good customer support, especially for products purchased directly from them.

I checked pricing - it is the same, however Newegg doesn't have that exact model, just very similar.

If not interested in 4GB module, choose any size from this http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for//inspiron-620#memoryResults

If you find any particular answer very helpful, please select "Pick as the Solution" green button, so other users can see it as a reference. This will make this thread SOLVED.

I want 4gb x 2 as in 8 gibs not 2 x 2gb, and ill pick a solution when im done talking to you

I seen this, but do you know is it LOW DENSITY or not? Same RAM? lower CL - not the same.

Quality? page 1 reviews...

Pros: Worked for the period that it lasted.

Cons: Only lasted 2 years, 1 stick went out causing a slew of BSOD before I was able to figure out it was this stick.

Other Thoughts: Dont but this budget ram, go spend the extra 5-10 usd on an actually company. Going cheep only hurts you, STAY AWAY from Ballistix.

Did I hear getting something cheaper......

DDR3 ram is ddr3 ram, whether its low or high density, it will operate just fine, its a standard h61 chipset. The density of the ram modules, of high vs low density and compatibility is pretty much irrelevent with ddr3.

Also, cherry picking one negative review, and user reviews in general dont indicate quality.

This is some relaxing reading for you to check prior posting such comments. Density... Older Dell BIOS supports Low Density, why, ask Dell. Only latest Dell models support High Density as well.

First. Ballistics come now with High Density http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/251115-30-crucial-ballistix-density-chips-high-density-chips

Older Ballistics were Low Density and therefore price was higher than now.
Old Ballistics still available on Amazon http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Mb64EHYhxXcJ:www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-Channel-240-Pin-BL2CP51264BA1339/dp/B004TKY59O+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
