and I know since i made my first home made case hole plus in the early 1990, that environment temperature in the room is the first important.
But even thanks for the very good explained article about Cooler and measurements.
As I am living here since 2006 and lost most of my units because of bad electric switching I focus now about cooling my Rig.
Temperatures in the Room between 22-38 degrees C (Fey/Jan and March/April), I have a air-con but only use this for sleeping room.
The Rig stands on the most cold floor, I have two fans blowing out upper the case, blowing in side down case, as a floating wind only takes out main heat. The Rig is free to get Air around her position.
What I am missing at the results I checked now is the measurements of the boxed delivered, standard cooler of the CPU, to see the advantage of better cooling of these tested components.
I have 3 solutions further than keeping my cooler, as with 3 open Browsers and Flash using Games ...
Idle: CPU av about 35-37 C, CPU about 1 %
under 3 Browsers using Flash Game getting 36% av CPU and around 60 C av on the cores.
Not tested the Program you suggest for full power 10 minutes, 30 minutes.
Oh, I use Ubuntu and there glances to get updated temp during using.
I think about Battlefield 4, on the GTX 960 with 3 Monitors, but fear that more heat and want a bit more better cooling, as I have read several Posts here about i7-4770 not overvlocked, and Battlefield 4 results..
So
* a Master Cooler EV 212 or what named,
* a Water Cooling, but they are here only 120 cm, I have old Rig with 80 cm, or have to drill another holes
* build a air pipe system, which takes the coolest way around and than in the house, ending at the fans IN at case, to get most cooling air available with no electric costs plus. (passive system. like I did years ago, taking cool sleeping room air through the wall into computer and heating up the living room)
But to decide that, I wanted to see the advantage of cooling tools against the standard delivered, as like EV 212 is at 60 degrees CPU standard with 55 C winning 5 degrees at ambient temp of 22 C (Example) compared to water cooling winning a sum of 12 Degrees ... you understand ?.
Than I can better imagine what solution I have to look for.
As the 3rd problem, I don’t order via Internet, and so my collection available here at shops in Chiang Mai is very poor.
