Hey there, Giulio!

The WD Black drive would most definitely fit just fine in your system. The fact that it's compatible with SATA 6 Gb/s motherboards doesn't mean that it would bottleneck its performance if plugged in a SATA 3 Gb/s. Mechanical HDDs are barely capable of exceeding the capabilities of the SATA 3 Gb/s port (whose max speed is ~ 300 MB/s). The only drives that would be affected by such a connection are the solid-state drives because their transfer rate is a lot faster, thus they require SATA III (6 Gb/s) otherwise the speed would be limited to 300 MB/s.

However, the WD Black is our performance drive and it's designed to enhance your PC experience across heavier computing tasks like demanding software apps or games. The...
any 6g sata device will slow down to the slower sata 3g speeds. with hard drives just make sure it the same size or one that the bios will see. the black and red drives are mostly used today for servers and higher end system. most of the 50.00 one tb drives if there shipped fine will work for years. if you have a local micro center or other pc store try getting the drive there. drives are one part that dont ship well.

Of course, keeping regular backups of your data are strongly recommended regardless of the storage devices in your system.
