Hey all, firstly thanks for opening up this thread.

I have a PC connected to the modem through LAN and I'm able to receive Internet access decently. It's connected through Port 1, if that makes a difference. In port 2, I have connected a router which I use to broadcast a wireless signal, but I am not able to get any internet access from the WiFi. I just don't get why am I not receiving any signal from the router. Is it due to the router being faulty or...?

Thanks again.

You may be running two routers instead of a "modem" and "router" and doing double NAT. What port does the ethernet cable from the "modem" plug into on the "router?" If the double NAT situation is the case it needs to be functionally converted to a router and access point setup. The cable from the first router should plug into a LAN port on the second one and the DHCP on the second turned off.

If this is the case, look at this forum sticky to set up the second router as an access point. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/36406-43-convert-wireless-router-wireless-access-point
