Are all nvidia Reference Cards the Same? In my country a Galax GTX 980 ti is $50 AUD cheaper than the Gigabyte one. Some person on other forums said that all Reference Cards are made by different people and not Nviida. So pretty much, even though they look the same, one of them has cheaper components.

Is this true that not all Nvidia Reference cards are made of the same things?

Solution
If you are hoping to buy the card go for the gigabyte one. As for your question.. Take the fact about the reference of google about it's new nexus model. They refer the cpu/gpu etc but the external features are still the manufacturers credit. Similarly nvidia reference cards are not same, it depends on manufacture. The differences are like
1. How much factory overclocked the card is.
2. Heatsink design
3. software support
etc

reference meaning they follow the original design by nvidia. as far as i know this includes the cooler, the board layout, basically everything. price may vary depending on the brand. not sure if they are allowed to factory oc though, maybe.

it's almost like the same card slapped with a different sticker :)

Only difference is the factory overclock. Otherwise they are 100% the same.

The price difference simply comes, because some brands are considered more premium than others.

Im running an EVGA 780ti with a PNY 780ti together without any issues. :)

Okay, I think it's now a good idea to get the Gigabyte reference one. To bad it has a sticker on it though. Wonder if it'd void the warranty if you remove it?

Yeah don't remove it. it'll void the warranty if serial no. is written on it.
