I'm a 1st time Pc builder (updated some hardware in the past)

My problem is that i have PC freeze with high CPU/GPU demands. Game or GPU benchmark. Never on stress CPU or benchmark alone...just yet.
The image just freeze, cant CTRL-ALT-DEL, i can only reset. Fans still works, optical can still open and 5 sec power off still works.
I have tried waiting 10 minutes to see if the system can overcome the demands but no.
In games it can take between 10 to 20 minutes before the freeze happens, sometimes less.
Sometimes i can go thru a GPU benchmark (720p windowed mode or fullscreen) and sometimes no. Never finished a 1080p.

I can reproduce the freeze on demands by doing that windowed GPU benchmark (Furmark) and starting a stress CPU sometime during the process (CPU-Z).
Ths system freeze each time. Most of the time its instantly and sometimes 1 or 2 seconds. but it will always freeze.
With many different monitoring software and i haven't seen anything particular, no drop in voltage before freeze.
Temperatures don't have time to rise drasticly, cuz its instantly.

Here is my system.

PCPartPicker part list: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/JXpv99

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Sandisk Ultra II 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB TDBD Black Edition Double Dissipation Video Card
Case: Corsair SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Cooler Master G650M 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit) build 10240

Something odd is that i had to manually adjust my RAM speed to 1600 and the CL7-8-8-24-32 in the bios but haven't seen any difference yet.

I DL latest driver version before my installation so no CD used there.
However, the chipset driver wasn't the most recent with that, so i DL the latest (AMD SMBus driver 5.12.0.31),
then reformat and started with this new chipset driver 1st and then all the other drivers
Windows 10 is up to date, my drivers are updated as well verified with driver booster 2.
I have the lastest AMD Catalyst software for driver on GPU and Mobo and even tried the beta one 15.8.

I have tried reseating my GPU. Tried with HDMI output, with an other monitor. with different cable.
Tried powering my GPU with separate power cable (1-PCIE 6+2 in the 8 pins and 2 molex thru adapter in the 6 pins)
I always have that instant freeze while starting the stress CPU during my 720p windowed GPU benchmark
i have tried 1 round or Memtest and it was fine.
MOBO bios (2501) is the latest and GPU too (015.048.000.024.000000 (113-XTL_D5_3GB_HYBFR_130913KLA_OC_W81)) .

video driver : 15.200.1062.1004 (catalyst 15.7.1) have tried 15.8
Directx 12.0 (dxdiag 10.00.10240.16384)
AMD SMBus driver 5.12.0.31 that i have to update apart from catalyst

So can anyone tell me how to find the source of my problem and fix it or maybe return faulty hardware.

Solution
I borrowed from a friend a 750w PSU and i had no freeze during benchmark. Even tried tougher ones and still no freeze.

So it's safe to say my Cooler Master G650M is the problem. It's either under power for my system or defective. Anyway he's going back to warehouse and i'm buying myself a new 850W to be safe with further need.

Many forum were saying PSU to similar problem than mine and they were right.
My XFX R9-280X black edition is asking for 750 minimum and 850 recommended so i'm going for that recommendation,
Oddly, it worked fine in a 600w Intel system...

Thanks mystic for your help. How do i select my answer to be the solving one?

I'm pretty sure you're going to have to rma the card. That doesn't sound right at all.

But Try this. Install ddu and select amd. Then select clean and shutdown (for new graphics card). Take the gpu out of the pci slot and make sure it's clean. Place it back in and boot the pc. Go to amd's website and make sure you download a fresh set of the latest drivers available. Then install.

Little update here.
I have tried new RAM stick and still have that instant freeze.
I also tried my GPU into a similar intel base PC and no freeze while playing game.

I've read lot's of post suggesting a stronger PSU solving freeze problem, i will have a friend coming by with a 750w PSU to try it out but the intel PC i tried the GPU in was powered by a 600w!!!

After that i will try the suggestion by Mysticking32.
