Flash drive shrinking?

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm a little dense sometimes. I have a 16gb flash drive that was working fine. Then one day after using that drive I decided to format it to make sure there would be enough space to hold a large amount of music I wanted to transfer. Did the usual format and after that was done, it showed that the flash drive would only hold less that 1 gb of information. How could a 16gb flash drive turn into a .99 gb flash drive after a simple format? How do I change it back?

Hi there Frank_411,

You can go to Disk Management and see how the flash drive appears over there.
Does it have some unallocated space? In case it does, you can just allocate it.
In case it shows total capacity of 1 GB, then I guess there is something wrong with it and you will need to replace it.
