Occasionally, check and see what's new regarding BIOS updates. When there are updates, reasons will be stated. If it does not affect you, leave it alone.

One of the main reasons I wanted to update it was because it makes OverClocking simpler.( I realize that OC is very simple to most. )

If it makes OC simpler, then update the UEFI (BIOS).
However, study the update (flashing the BIOS) process as outlined by the motherboard manufacturer. Then proceed. OC is a lot of fun and you need to study the topic before doing it in gradual increments (different topic).
