Hi! This is my first forum here, so dunno if it will be in the right place, but yeah... So basically, I'm in the process of building a PC for my dad,
Specs:
i5 4590
B85M-G
No GPU, on board graphics
Cooler master elite 500 PSU
Random case
8GB Kingston Single Channel memory

And my computer's fans work, but the monitor I connect with VGA/HDMI saids no signal. I have checked for standoffs, all placed in the right place, the CPU pins aren't bent, the 24-pin connected is OK, and the RAM is in properly. I was very careful so static, so it is very unlikely that the mobo is down, but the mobo speakers don't ring. I have built a PC before, and the same problem happened, but all I had to do was insert the 24-pin and RAM properly. This time, I have checked that they are both in. I am confident that the VGA/HDMI cables work, and the monitor I am using is used by my dad to just watch TV, and yeah, it sure works. Also, when I plug the fan connector for my case fan in, even the fans don't function. Thanks, and I will appreciate your reply ASAP.

Double and triple check the cables for the power button, power LED's, reset switch, etc. Its very easy to put these in wrong. Most often this is caused by not plugging in the additional 6pin power connector for the GPU. Make sure the one you use is not the one for a graphics card.

I don't have a graphics card, so I won't need the 6-pin, right? Yeah, the front panel connectors are properly inserted, and the fan is working. Any solutions?
