I'm really confused. Which type of Ram is suitable for i5-6400.

Well on intel's website it writes; DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V for 6400 memory types. So if I want to use ddr3 I need to buy a ddr3 which works on 1.35V I guess, well cuz on my country it doesn't write ddr3L for any ddr3 ram. But I think if it's 1.35, it means ddr3L. And I can't use my old ddr3 rams with 1.5V.

For ddr4; Well I couldn't find much rams with 2133mhz. There are 2400mhz and 2666mhz sold around here. So I have no chanse to use them also right ?

I used to think, motherboards decide which ram to use, but when I see those limitations on intel's website I got confused. I mean 6400 uses socket 1151. So I'll pick a motherboard with 1151 but probably it's ram limitations will be wider.

Thank you guys ^^

As far as I know Z170 boards support only DDR4 memory, so you have to go with 2133 MHz or higher. The memory frequency depends on the motherboard capabilities so it should work with 2400 or 2666 MHz kits on a motherboard that supports those frequency.

Yeah the intel website, or other sites. Will just say the default specs of memory for the i7 6400. It won't say the actuall amount of memory it can handle as that is determined by your motherboard. Also ddr3l probably wont work as most motherboards are just pure ddr4's on the z170 chipset. I'd look into what motherboard you want and buy ram based on that.

Here's the list of Z170 DDR3 motherboards available from Newegg.com: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007627%20600567584%20600036385%20600036387 They should be considered only when one already has DDR3 modules.
