Is this RAM compatible

so i was thinking of getting 16gb ram as seen here

but i was told that 16gb ram is overkill for gaming unless your doing other ram intensive tasks so ive decided to not get 16gb but my question is will the 8gb ram version of the ram i linked above work with this motherboard:

Yes it will work, what you need will be dependent on what you do with the rig and what games you play, there are already games out that need 8GB, and newer ones may well require more, there's one coming in December that calls for 12GB....so you can go with what many say is 'plenty', and upgrade to a 16GB set down the road, or simply get the 16GB set now (which would be my suggestion), DRAM needs aren't going to shrink, they will continue to grow
