So I am thinking of upgrading my laptop hybrid thing...
I asked this question but I got multiple answers so I am looking for a third opinion to confirm.
In terms of sheer processing power, not features like battery life, which processor would be better:
Intel Atom 3795 Quadcore 1.59GHz Turbo: 2.39GHz
Intel Core i5 4300Y Dual 1.6GHz Turbo 2.3GHz
This is confusing because cpuboss says the atom is better than the i5, but then real people say the i5 is better than the atom, and then someone else says the atom is better than the i5?
The different arguments I got for the Atom VS i5:
1. The atom has twice the amount of cores its better.
2. The i5 has core architecture so its better.
3. When the i5 is in Turboboost it will crush the atom.
3. The atom has more L2 cache so its better.
I have heard arguments for cores, cache, clock, core architecture and confusion.
