Hi. I am facing a problem with my computer (Dell Optiplex 755).
When i power on my pc, it gives the sound continuously and after dell logo screen it says no boot device found. Everything is ok fine in boot menu. Last night i shut down my pc correctly and nxt morning m facing this problem. Hard drive also looks fine. All wires are ok. But in drives in bios, in sata where hard disc is plugged in says not present. Which one is damaged, sata cable, power cable coming from supply or hard disc itself?

Do you have only one hard drive, or 2?

If only one, have you see any problems in previous week or so, any errors popping up, like unable to save something, anything? Open your PC side panel and attempt to boot, can you hear your hard drive spinning, or everything is completely quiet?

You are facing possible complete hard drive failure, so at worst case scenario you will need a new hard drive and complete fresh OS install, do you have Windows disc? if not, which exact windows were installed on your PC when you purchased? If it is WIndows 7 or older, yo suppose to have colored sticker on the case with product key for new installation, which Windows is listed there?

Most likely you will need a new hard drive, but there is a high chance that you will able to save your DATA from the old HDD, as you might have just corrupted Master Boot Record. also, there are programs, which can help you to recover lost data.
