Dual Channel DDR4 RAM

Hi All,

I am planning to buy Intel Skylake i5-6500 with Gigabyte's H170-Gaming 3 Motherboard.

I see that the Processor and Board both support DDR4 2133MHz Memory.

So I want to get 8GB RAM for it.... Which would be the best and best in configuration too ???

I came across G.Skill Ripjaws 4 DDR4 8GB (2x4GB) 2133MHz RAM (Model ID F4-2133C15D-8GRR) but Flipkart (Indian Shopping Site) shows it as 1 RAM. Is this even correct ??? Can there be just one stick for Dual Channel 2x4GB RAM ??? Please advise or suggest a better RAM in 8GB limit... I am NOT an OverClocker !!!

No it's 2 sticks, the pic only shows 1 of the 2.

And if I was dumping money on Skylake and DDR4, I would go 16GB and do it right.

Yes the model # - F4-2133C15D-8GRR indicates a dual or two stick package with the 'D' after the CL listing 'C15'

Also is this a worth buy ?? Or should I look for other ???

They'll work, the 2133 is entry level for DDR4 which will be fine for your 6500

That is a very good choice. It is indeed a 8GB RAM and with 2 sticks. Maybe Flipkart made a mistake by showing only one picture instead of two. Here is the full specs of this particular RAM -> http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-2133c15d-8grr

Right now, GSkill is the only major company with DDR4 RAM in India. Can't wait for Corsair to launch its DDR4 RAM's.

Keeping future in mind... Is it worth to get this RAM or should i start with just a single stick of 8GB RAM ?? Who knows maybe 16GB becomes bare minimum in 2016 ???

Best to get aset, then runs in dual channel (10-15%) performance increase, and if you go single, there's no guarantes buying a second single stick will play with the first one

Ok..a set it is...tell me this... The h170 mobo i listed... Can it do dual channels like right now if I get 2x4GB and put them in 2,4 slots can I (in future) put 2x8GB (or another pair of 2x4GB) along with it in 1,3 slots ??? Will it work ???
