Getting into BIOS on a Sony VAIO with Windows 7; Sony Model PCG-81114L

On a Sony VAIO with Windows 7, I have an ASSIST key. I am trying to get to BIOS, but the ASSIST key gets me to a Recovery Tool. There are only four options in the Recovery Tool:
Hardware Diagnostics, Restore C Drive, Restore Complete System, Rescue Data.

I have looked all over the internet, and the help indicates that I should use the ASSIST key, but I only get the above options.

Any ideas on how to get into BIOS, please?

Hi, as it is starting up, press F12 repeatedly. it will come up with boo options. then you can select setup (BIOS) from the options there.

My daughters Sony vaio is f12 or delete for bios entry, and do so as soon as you get a beep, just keep mashing the key. If Windows starts to load, you missed it, just kill power and start over.

I've tried both mashing the F12 key repeatedly on start up, as well as the Delete key, but I still get the Windows sign in screen rather than BIOS. Any ideas, please?

F1 or F2 then. Right after you hit the power button
