what features to look for in choosing a motherboard?

what features do i have to look for? there are lots of mobo out there and are overwhelming. what i surely want is, it should be an atx, LGA1150 socketed,black color(with red will do, i hate blue), and other than that..... i dont know what other feats to consider.
well... i need it to last long...er...
upgradeable, and within less than $100-ish

well theres a couple of things you want to consider when looking for a motherboard:
1) Your budget
2) Brand, only buy from well respected brands that are known to manufacture good motherboards e.g. MSI, Gigabyte and Asus.
3) What are you needs? Gaming? If so, you can get motherboards which are aimed at gamers. Will you be doing any overclocking? If so, look for motherboards which support this
4) Size, will it fit in your case?
5) How much RAM do you want? Some motherboards more RAM slots than others
6) PCI express slots. Important if you want to do gaming, these slots (x16 slots) are where your graphics card will be placed?
7) Fan control, do you want to be able to control the speed of all your fans or do you not mind?
