I was having some problems with my Catalyst drivers so I decided to reinstall them. After the restart after uninstalling then I noticed that I couldn't use my key board and mouse at the login screen, however they do work in the bios. I tried a system restore and that did not work well so now I'm stuck. I do have ps/2 ports but I do not know 100% if the method of using a ps/2 mouse and keyboard will work and should I just do a fresh install of Windows 7. I tried the majority of things that I read on forums and I feel like the ps/2 is my final option because I do not want to loose all my data in a factory reset. I currently have my OS on a SSD and all my programs and data on a 1tb hd.

yes, that did not work, but people keep saying that a ps/2 connection will bypass this so I can log in and fix and restore the necessary drivers. My only problem is that the only store that carries such things is not that close, so I want to know that this has a high success rate and it actually does work, or if people are BSing about the whole "bypass" thing.
