USB devices not working (HELP!)

I have a pretty annoying problem...

I was recently tinkering with an early Technical Preview of Windows 10 that I had installed on a separate HDD. After finishing, I shut down my computer and unplugged the drive, then booted into my normal Windows 7. When I did, none of my USB devices would work. I was able to get power to my USB hub, but no inputs from my mouse or keyboard would register. I also thought I did not have power because the RGB lights would not light up at all.
Even several restarts would not fix it.

After a few minutes sitting on the desktop, my K70 RGB keyboard began to light up with the rainbow pattern, so it was not communicating with the CUE software to get my custom profiles, and was not even using the custom profile I had loaded onto the keyboard itself.
The strangest part is that it will occasionally change to several different (what seem to be demo) profiles, like White with Red WASD and arrow keys, or White and Blue keys.

I don't know what is going on, and I don't know where to go from here.
Please help.
PS: If needed, I may be able to get remote assess to try and fix software.

My system specs are:
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H
CPU - i7 4790
GPU - Nvidia GTX 750Ti
RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 (2 sticks of Blue, 2 sticks of Black)
PSU - Corsair CX 430M
Storage - 256GB Plextor M6e SSD, 750GB Western Digital Black 2.5" HDD, (Windows 10 drive that has been removed - old 80GB Hitachi Desk-star)
Keyboard - Corsair Gaming K70 RGB
Mouse - Logitech G500s

Strangely they started working again. I could not get into the BIOS initially because the keyboard would not work even at POST. I'm not sure if it is what fixed it, but after shutting down and unplugging/re-plugging the keyboard yet again, everything worked.

Sorry to anyone looking at this to try and fix a similar problem, as I do not know what exactly happened or why it was resolved.
