My pc spec is
Cpu: Pentium G630 2.7ghz dualcore sandy bridge

Mobo:H61

Ram: 4GB

Graphics : 7790 2gb

Im looking to upgrade the ram and CPU to get a bit more out of my system.

I do light game, And a lot of video fx work in after effects which is were i feel the dual core is limiting me.

My budget is 10000 rs

1.should i go for second hand i5 2500
2. Change mobo and go for AMD Fx 6300 or 8300
3. Go for i3, is I3 much of an improvement over Pentium dual cores.

I would prefer to not do a whole mobo and processor change.

From my experience, I use an FX6300 and do alot of video editing in Sony movie studio. It is very good and pretty fast. I think because the extra cores it would be better than an i5 2500 at editing things, but could be wrong and it may only be a very marginal difference. So for your situation it may be beneficial to buy a second hand i5 2500(k) and get the extra ram, you will notice a big improvement for much less money than the other option
