Is a GTX 950 enough for one 2560x1080p monitor?

it will run it for sure but no it wont be great for ultra wide even the 960 wont be that great for a ultra wide i would be shooting for a 970

by not great i mean fps performance and settings. Yes it will do fine for daily browsing and watching videos. but for gaming even low settings on modern games will get painful really quick.

There won't be a difference in image quality between most GPUs, where the difference lies is how fast a GPU can render those images aka frames per second. A 950, being on the bottom of the maxwell ladder will yield the lowest fps. I'll run diablo 2 no problem on that resolution, but will struggle with modern AAA titles.

The 960 is really the beginning of where good 1080p starts above that there is a reason more powerful cards exist.
