So I have been copying files from my pen drive to my computer. These files were originally on my old pc before it broke down. I compressed the files into zip format to save space.

Now I have copied the folder back onto my computer. The files, which are word documents, open fine. But I have tried to extract them into a proper folder.

But whenever I try, the following message comes up: "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to recieve this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.

Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error"

I have tried a couple of solutions to this problem, but none have worked.

Anyone know how to solve this? Thanks.

Solution
Try using 7zip to extract them instead of Windows' built-in zip handler. There are certain zip formats Windows cannot handle, but they will not admit it.
