I have an internal 2TB Hitachi HDD on SATA that is not correctly displaying total used space. No matter how many files are on the drive, it displays 1.8 TB free of 1.81 within explorer. However, if I select disk properties, it accurately shows the total free and used space. I just reformatted this and the problem remains.

Sorry - I am being thick..
1.81 Tb looks right for a 2TB drive..
10.5GB is about 0.01 TB.. so your picture looks about right.. but you say that,, you say when properties it looks right.. So how about a picture where it is "wrong" as right now I am not clear what your question/issue is.
Cheers

Should have messed around with this more before posting. You are absolutely right yoji, that was a bad example, as it appeared to be displayed properly because of the actual size of the files. Before formatting (and after), I had about 30GB of games and 20 GB of assorted other files but it would still show on 1.80 og 1.81 in explorer.

Used disk manager to delete the volume then created a new volume and it fixed the problem. This drive was part of a RAID 1 that went south, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Had the same problem under windows 7 and 10, but looks like its fixed now.
