Hey, i5-4690k is nice for gaming, editing and rendering but if you want to speed up rendering process you should be looking for i7 like 4790k coz it has hyper threading or you can look for processor with more cores like 5820k but for this you will need different mobo.
4690k is nice processor :)
And for gaming gtx 960 or gtx 970 would be better

The current cpu might be a little weak for high end video editing. The 4790k is great for the video editing, but the 4690k will work, though with notably less multithreaded performance, which most high end professional programs are. The gpu will give you playable 1080p preformance, over 30 fps on all games and up to 60 with some setting turned down. If you want truly hardcore gaming, go with the 970 or 980 for 1080p, or possibly go with the 980 ti, (though super expensive) if you want 144fps on 1080 or great preformance on 1440p and playable on 4k.

Admirable

Agreed, but the current proposed part is an i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor

The new submitted build is a perfect build for what you want to do. you wont get much better performance than that without a massive jump up in price. You might want to consider a better cooler if you want to do any overclocking, but if you dont, the hyper 212 evo will work just fine.
