I have an ASUS with Windows 8.1. THIS PC ran out of memory so a friend told me to move my photos to the Data (D) drive. I did this last night. When I went to the Data D drive today, it showed no photos in this drive. They are also no longer on THIS PC saved in windows. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Valerie

Solution
1) You mean ran out of storage or out of memory? Running out of memory can't be solved by moving storage data around and can actually cause that data to disappear. You need to describe how your system is set up, what drives are where.
2) Right click on the start menu and click on disk management. Take a screenshot (windows+prtscn) of the disk manager so we know what setup you are running.
3) If you remember the name of even one photo, open up file explorer, go to Computer, and use the search box to search for the name.

These steps will help narrow down everything.

That said, most computers use D for CD/DVD drives, so there's a chance you moved everything to a disk burning screen and deleted by accident.
